Thanks, Patrick, for your presentation at PATCA Consultants association (www.patca.org) and this summary about the meeting. Everyone was very pleased with the amount of information you were able to provide about how we could leverage social internet tools for our consulting businesses. Although I had a general idea about many of these concepts and tools, I learned a great deal from all of the information you gave to us, and I plan to check out some of the links and ideas you presented, as well as refer clients to your site and your upcoming workshops. I hope you will join us for other meetings and consider joining PATCA!
As a Human Resources Consultant, I deal with Silicon Valley clients in many industries, but have never tried most of the ideas you gave for finding new clients - particularly those in the younger generation who communicate through a variety of online methods, rather than those used by traditional corporations for marketing their services.
Regarding your suggestions for doing more public speaking to demonstrate our expertise, I have found that is a positive step for consultants and service providers to become known as a "go-to" expert; and have made use of that in my HR consulting over the years. Thanks for the reminder to do so again!
