Every time you login (yoursite.com/wp-admin) to your WordPress platform, it will take you to your Dashboard where all of your website details are summarized. It will tell you how many pages are on the site, how many posts, how many comments and how many widgets. It will also tell you who is linking to your website and the most recent comments.
Other than the Dashboard, there are four primary screens that will account for most of your time on the platform. On the [Manage] tab, you’ll be able to your pages and posts as well as your categories, tags, media files and your title tags. On the [Write] tab, you’ll be able to create new pages, posts and tweets. On the [Settings] tab, you can configure all the plugins and backend details and on the [Plugins] tab, you can monitor and upgrade your plugins.
You can access these screens from anywhere on the platform. You can also access the [Write a Page] and [Write a Post] screens directly from your Dashboard. Once you have your username and password, explore the platform and check out each tab. Look at the various options and try to familiarize yourself with all the options. WordPress can do incredible things and you should try to acquaint yourself with the possibilities.
